Announcing: The Clank! Master Thief Edition!

Ten years ago, Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure snuck its way into the world, and the dragon Nictotraxian has been feasting on the Clank! cubes of countless players ever since! To celebrate a decade of burgling, bungling, and barely escaping with your hide, we’re happy to announce the Clank! Master Thief Edition!

This refresh of the dungeon-crawling classic will be making its debut at Gen Con this year, where Clank! will be celebrating its 10th birthday, along with live playable events and demos all weekend long. If you’re headed to Indianapolis this year, be sure to book a ticket to the Clank!-flavored fun when event registration opens next month on May 17th!

Clank! Gets a Birthday Update!

The Clank! Master Thief Edition brings some visual updates to the beloved deck-building adventure, with new packaging and a refreshed map illustration. The Rage Track, Health Track, and Market have also migrated to their own separate boards (with double thick cardboard and inset squares to hold your cubes better), leaving more real estate for the dungeons themselves on the main board. It’s nice to have some extra breathing room!

But it’s not just about the visual update — there are gameplay changes, as well! Updated endgame mechanics, ghastly Ghosts, and various card adjustments are just a few of the refreshes you can expect to find in this new edition!

Wandering Monsters: A New Mini-Expansion Packed in the Box

And because we couldn’t resist stuffing something truly shiny and brand-spanking new into your loot sack, the Clank! Master Thief Edition comes packed with the Wandering Monsters mini-expansion.

This optional module includes new cards and mechanics related to the tunnel monsters on the board, which are now marked with different colors and icons. We’ll be spilling more beans about this mini-expansion in future previews, so stay tuned!

The Clank! Master Thief Edition is Coming Soon to Gen Con!

Ten years of Clank! means ten years of stories and shenanigans from your tabletop heists: those tight escapes with multiple artifacts, the sessions with a very grumpy dragon that devoured your party on round 4, the time your friend swore revenge after you plucked their intended Artifact from under their noses with a 7 Boot movement… the Clank! Master Thief Edition lays a foundation for many more memories to come.
