Ark Nova Digital Gets New Features in a Major New Update!

We’ve been listening to your feedback during the Early Access period of Ark Nova Digital, and we’ve been hard at work making the game the best it can be. Patch 0.9 brings a variety of new content, features and fixes!

New Promo Cards

Originally unveiled in the Dice Tower 2024 Kickstarter, these two new promo cards now make their way to Ark Nova Digital! Add some unique flavor to your Petting Zoos with the new Capybara card, granting you extra Appeal if you keep your Petting Zoos near a body of water. Additionally, build up a competent team at your zoo with the Promotion Team Sponsor card, which rewards you for playing other person type Sponsors!

New Maps

8 new maps come to Ark Nova Digital in the form of alternate variants, which include remixed versions of each of the game’s numbered maps. Spice up your game by experiencing your favorites in new ways!

UI Scaling Options

One of the most requested features has been a UI Scaling option, and by popular demand, it’s now in the game as of Patch 0.9! 

To adjust the size of the UI, go into the Gameplay Options menu, and you’ll find a slider where you can make the UI bigger or smaller than the default size. Play with the settings to find the one that works best for you! For players who prefer a smaller UI but still want to be able to read the cards, remember that you can magnify game elements by holding your cursor over any element.

Animal Avatars

By popular demand animal avatars have now been added, providing a variety of new choices to customize your player profile! You can have an animal avatar for any mood — from the stalwart wolf to the wacky emu.

Improved AI

As a game with deeply strategic mechanics and countless combinations of cards and tactics, we want to make sure that players are appropriately challenged by the AI opponents in Ark Nova Digital, and we’ve been making improvements to them under the hood! For a standard AI experience, choose Easy, Medium, or Hard depending on your preferences.

If you find yourself besting those opponents, consider stepping up the difficulty even further with Unfair, Expert, and Legendary settings! These difficulty settings still play by the rules, but give AI opponents starting advantages.

• Unfair: AI opponents start with 15 Appeal
• Expert: AI opponents start with 25 Appeal and a randomly upgraded action!
• Legendary: AI opponents start with 25 Appeal and all of their actions upgraded!

Many New Additional Features and Bug Fixes

In addition to the major new additions listed above, Patch 0.9 also brings a variety of other new features and bug fixes to Ark Nova Digital, such as animation speed settings, Platinum badges, new player stats, and more!
