We’re excited to have you join us for Cascadia Digital‘s private beta on Steam!
If you’re here, you’ve probably received a beta key at Gen Con, from backing Cascadia on Kickstarter, or some other way. Welcome! (If you don’t have a key, be sure to Wishlist Cascadia Digital on Steam, and we’ll notify you when we go into Early Access later this summer.)
There are two ways to redeem your key and begin playing:
1. Inside of your Steam client
Open up Steam (you’ll need to install Steam and create an account if you don’t already have one). In the top menu, go to Games > Activate a Product on Steam and enter your unique key.
Cascadia Digital should begin to install, and you’ll be ready to play in just a couple of minutes!
2. From a Web Browser
To redeem your key on the web, go to Activate a Product on Steam and enter your unique key. You’ll still need to log in to a Steam account, and your game will be in your Library for downloading the next time you open the Steam client.
That’s it! You should now be ready to begin your trek, but if you have any trouble please drop us a line at Support@DireWolfDigital.com so that we can help.
As you begin to play, please keep a couple of things in mind:
- This is a beta, meaning the game isn’t finished yet, and we’ll be continuing to update it over the coming weeks.
- If you run into something that seems like a bug, please let us know through the in-game feedback or by email to Support@DireWolfDigital.com
- Please join us in the Dire Wolf Discord to connect with other players and let us know what you think!
We expect the beta period to last a few weeks, at which point we’ll transition into Early Access as we make the final push towards release. When that happens, we’ll be turning off beta access you’ll need to purchase the game normally to continue playing – we hope you stick around!
